The Department of Homeland Security says despite Tweets by President Trump, it won't be sending immigrants to to be detained in sanctuary cities. The President said places like California keep asking for migrants to be allowed in.

"We'll give them more people. We can give them a lot. We can give them unlimited supply and let's see if they're so happy."

There's a report that President Trump told an official at Homeland Security that if he closed the southern border, the President will grant him a pardon if there were any legal ramifications.

 

From immigration to mobile networks. President Trump says U.S. government will hold a massive auction later this year to bolster 5G service.

"It will transform the way our citizens work, learn, communicate and travel. It will make American farms more productive, American manufacturing more competitive."

 

There was a security scare ath the White House today a man in a wheelchair who set his jacket on fire.

 

A 5-year-old is hospitalized after landing on the 1st floor of  the Mall of America from a 3rd floor balcony. 

Witnesses indicated that the child might have been either pushed or thrown from level 3. Bloomington police chief Jeff Potts says a suspect's in custody someone who has caused disturbances at that mall in the past.

 

Fisher-Price has now issued a recall of its Rock & Play Sleeper.

The company says more than 30 babies rolled over in them and died since the product was introduced in 2009. The AP's ED Donahue reports that consumers can get a refund from Fisher-Price.

 

Minesota and Dakotas are still digging out from the spring storm that brought more than 2 feet of snow in some areas. That system is now pushing toward the south. It brings a threat of tornadoes to the Gulf coast states this weekend.

 

On Wallstreet the DOW gained 209 points today, the NASDAQ up 18. This is AP Radio News.

 

An Indiana mayor running for president is now criticizing the state's former governor who's now Vice President Mike Pence.

Domocratic presidential contender Pete Buttigieg has blasted Mike Fence's cultural relgious conservatism. As mayor of South Bend, Indiana Buttigie's tone toward state's former governor was muted. Now as the openly gay mayor has become a celebrated voice for LGBT equality, his rhetoric toward Pence has hardened. Buttigie has called Pence's relgious conservatism a phonetical idealogy. Pence said they had a great working relationship and cirticized the mayor's characterization of his religous beliefs. I'm Walter Ratliff.

 

The DOW today gained 269 points. The NASDAQ up 36.

 

Health officials say that ground beef is the likely source of a food poisoning outbreak that started in March, sickening more than a hundred people in 6 states. They don't have a specific brand though, they say just make sure that meat is well cooked. Jackie Quinn. AP Radio News.
