The Trump administration has announced a big change that will keep asylum seekers locked up in the U.S.
Attorney William Barr is terminating the opportunity for asylum seekers to ask a judge to grant them bond while their cases are pending. Barr decided that asylum seekers who clear a credible fear interview and are facing deportation don't have the right to be released on bond by an immigration court judge.

The administration's also said to be looking at ways to sanction countries whose citizens stay on past short-term visas.
There's been a deadly shooting at an outlet mall in Tennesses near Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A young woman from Pennsylvania apprently shot and killed by a gunman who wounded another person and killed himself. Police are thinking it was random and they don't have a moto.
"Just don't know but, you know, all we can do as law enforcement is to get you as qucik as we can."
Days before the anniversary of the massacre at Columbine high school. The school had to go on lockdown. The FBI says it's searching for a woman who has threatened the school.

Michigan's attorney general says that she will not enforce a State abortion ban if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe vs Wade. Democrat Dana Nessel speaking at a planed parenthood group says she believes it is likely the 1973 decision will be struck down.

Officials who are trying to contain a measles outbreak in a county just north of New York city have ordered all unvaccinated people to stay away from public gatherings including houses of worship for upto 3 weeks. That order issued in Rockland county comes a day after New York city closed a pre-school over non-compliance with vaccination requirements.
