Stocks soared today on the news of a strong jobs report for April. Employers added 263,000 jobs and the unemployment rate hit a nearly 50 year low. The President's economic advisor Larry Kudlow says it's all from Trump administration adn policy.
"We have the big tax-cut package last year. It's working. We had major overhaul of regulations which is working. We've opened up the energy sector."
The DOW gained a 197 pts and the NASDAQ hit a new all time high, closing at 8164.
President Trump told reporters that he spoke today with Russia's Vladimir Putin and says they did not discuss election meddling but did talk about the release of the Muller report.
"He actually saw the smile when he said something the the fact that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse. But he knew that. Because he knew there was no collusion."
In Ohio, a panel of federal judges ruled the States congressional districts were unconstitutionally redrawn by Republicans to give them a political advantage. The court is ordering a new map for the 2020 elections.
Communities along the Misissipi river are trying to sandbag and do whatever they can to mitigate flood damage from the rising river. The wall of water this breaking flood records along the Misissipi and breached temporary barriers in Davenport, Iowa is now moving south. Mayor Rick Eberlin of Grafton, Illinois says flood water is creeping toward the cityhall.

When he was Homeland Security Secretary, John Kelly was the first U.S. officials to disclose the gevenrment was considering separating migrant families. 6 months later, Kelly became President Trump's White House Chief of Staff, a position that retired U.S. Marine Corps. On Friday, it was announced Kelly is now on the board of Caliburn International, a conglomerate whose holdings include the largest facility for migrant children in the country, About 2,500 teenagers are being detained at Caliburn International's facility in Homestead, Florida. A Pensylvania couple married 45 years is being laid to rest together. They both died Sunday night. Minutes after speaking on the phone, Clair Vance was hospitalized. He died when relatives went to tell his wife, they found she had passed too.
