Attorney General William Barr facing a possible congressional subpoena has issued a statement defending his handling of the Mueller Russia report. Our Mike Gracia explains.
"The Mueller report contains sensitive grand jury material that cannot be immediately released to the public. Barr has come under fire from congressional Democrats for issuing a 4-page-letter summarizing Mueller's nearly 400 page report. He intends to release the entire report with redactions by mid April.
President Trump is threatening to tear up against Mexico and its auto exports unless the country does more to keep would-be-migrants from crossing into the U.S.
Chicago officials now say that they will sue actor Jussie Smollet for not paying the 135,000 dollars cost of the investigation into his claim he was attacked. Earlier police group has called for the resignation of prosecutor Kim Foxx who dropped criminal charges.
"We need to have a prosecutor who is going to charge people when they commit a crime."
In Columbus, Ohio, prosecutors have charged a vice squad officer with murder in the August shooting of a woman inside his car. Andrew Mitchell says that she stabbed his hand during an under cover prostitution sting. He says he shot the woman in self defense.

A new study says cats respond to the sound of their names though there's no evidence they understand the name refers to them. They just know when they hear that sound, something happens involving them.
The House today voted to reauthorize the violence against the Women Act that includes a provision that makes it easier for law-enforcement to remove guns from violent offenders. This is AP Radio News.
A young man's claim to be an Illinois boy who disappeared under tragic circumstsances nearly 8 years ago has been disapproved. Aurora Illinois police sergeant Bill Rowley says they did not find Timmothy Pitzen.
"Well I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed that this appears to be either a hoax or some person that's obviously lying about who he was."
And the missing boy's grandmother Alana Anderson says the family was hoping that this was their grandson.
"Of the other DNA sample from Tim obviously and they have one from this young man. And he is not Timmothy. We have confirmation from the detectors."
She says she hopes that she does see the boy someday.
Authorities in southern Lousiana investigating in a string of suspicious fires at 3 afro-american churches. They're looking to see if they are connected.
