The Taliban is claiming responsibility for an attack in Afghanistan. The AP's Ben Thomas reports americans were killed. The attack took place nearby Bagram air base north of Kabul, the main american base in Afghanistan. The U.S. and NATO resolute support missions says 3 of the dead were U.S. service members and the 4th, an american contractor. Another 3 U.S. troops were wounded in the explosion and are receiving medical care. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack saying a suicide bomber detonated the explosives that were packed into his vehicle. The fatalities bring the number of U.S troops killed so far this year in Afghanistan to 7. Ben Thomas, Washington.
A day after Homeland Secutiry Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned, the head of the Secrect Service, Randal Tex Alles announced he is resigning. Source tells the AP there's no link to the resignations.
Nielsen's last day is Wednesday. Today she thanked President Trump.
"I'm forever grateful and proud of the men and women of DHS who work so hard everyday to execute their missions and protect the homeland."
Felicity Huffman has apologized. The actress was among the parents who pleaded guilty to charges in a college admission cheating scam. The AP's Jennifer King has details. In her first public comments since her arrest, Huffman says she accepts full responsibility for her actions and will accept consequences. Huffman was accused of paying a consultant 15,000 dollars to disguise as a charitable donation to boost her daughter's SAT score.
A bond hearing will resume next week in Florida for a woman from China, Yujing Zhang. She's accused of lying to illegally enter President Trump's Mar-lago club while carrying a device containing computer malware.
The U.S. designated Iran's revolutionary guard Corp. a foreign terrorist organization.
The Trump administration is moving to end a deal allowing Cuban baseball players to sign contracts directly with Major League baseball teams. It means Cuban players will probably have to cut ties with their national program to sign. This is AP Radio News.

The NCAA mens college basketball title will be decided tonight in Minneapolis. Virginia vs Texas Tech. Tech coach Chris Beard says Virginia is scary.
"These great defensive teams like Virginia, this offense is contributing to the defense. It all goes hand in hand. So I've never been a big believer this team has this identity or this identity."
Virginia guard Kyle Guy says his team remembers they got knocked out in round 1 last year.
"We thought you know we could win it all. We were 31 and 3. Best team in the country and we had a chance and I don't know if that was hope or belief. I know this year that there's a belief as soon as that buzzer sounded last year, we're gonna do something special."
