President Trump today meeting with immigration agents at the California border with Mexico says the U.S. can't accomodate any more asylum seekers.

"We can't take you. Our country is full. Area's full. The sector's full. Can't take you anymore. I'm sorry. Can't happen. So turn around. That's the way it is."

He alleged that many of those trying to come in from central America are really gang memebers. The President showcasing an enhanced section of border wall marked with a plaque bearing his name. House Democrats have just filed a suit to try to block President from using emergency powers to use Pentagon money to build a border wall. It's similar to legal action filed by state of California and it's Attorney General Xavier Becerra.

"6.7 billion dollars that have been year-marked for the various drug and addiction projects or assets for overseas funds that are used to help us in fighting crime."

 

And this just in from California. A federal judge has ruled that the sales of high capacity ammunition magazines has to stop. An injunction is in place as the Attorney General appeals a court order that throughout the state's ban.

 

In Phoenix, police chief Jerry Williams says that tips helped lead police to a suspect charged in a road rage shooting that killed a 10-year-old girl in her driveway. 

"He's been identified as 20-year-old Joshua Gonzales. He's been booked into jail on one count of 1st degree murder and three counts of aggrevated assault."

 

It was 25 years ago that Nirvana's Kurt Cobain was found dead in Seattle. Dozens of people are leaving candles, flowers and messages at a park near the house where Cobain killed himself.

 

On Wall Street, the DOW gained 40 pts today and the NASDAQ up 46 on a strong jobs report. This is AP Radio News.

 

Former Vice President Joe Biden appears to be hinting at a 2020 presidential bid meeting with union workers today and later addressing complaints about inappropriate touching.

Biden hugged a union president on stage, joking he had a permission. He later told the reporters he's sorry he didn't understand more how his actions might have affected the women but said he's not sorry for his intentions.

"I've never been disrespectful intentionally to a man or a woman."

The joking approach did not play well with Lucy Flores, the Nevada politician who said Biden kissed her on the back of the head in 2014. She tweeted to make light of something as serious as consent degrades the conversational. Sagar Meghani, Wahington.
