U.S. and Chinese trade talks without show little movement after President Trump imposed tariffs on billions in Chinese imports earlier today. Sagar Meghani has this.

Negotiators met briefly here in Washington hours after the Trump administration more than doubled tariffs on roughly 200 billion dollars worth of Chinese imports. President Trump says there's no need to rush to a deal and he's defending the tariff hike by falsely saying it will pump more money into U.S coffer. But Phil Levy a former George W. Bush White House trade advisor says the tariffs are actually paid by U.S. importers who in tun pass on the higher cost.

"And it's consumers who will end up paying"

President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani says he wants to travel to Ukraine to meet with government officials to push them to open a pair of investigations. One to find the origins of special counsel Robert Muller's recently concluded investigation, the other to look into whether Joe Biden had anything to do with the ouster of a Ukranian prosecutor who was reportedly investigating an oligarch at a time that Biden's son was involved with a gas company owned by that oligarch. House Intelligence Committe Chairman Adam Schiff.

"We have president's lawyer seeking help from the foreign government again to influence an American presidential election. That's just appalling."
